(70% pinot noir and 30% chardonnay, all from grand cru vineyards; L2300WA05100):  Bright orange-pink.  Smoky red berries and blood orange on the expressive nose, accented by spices and flowers.  Fleshy and broad on entry, then tighter in the middle, offering intense raspberry, bitter cherry and orange pith flavors and notes of toasty lees and candied flowers.  Shows excellent clarity on the seamless, spicy, impressively long finish.  Twelve percent of the pinot noir in the blend was added as still wine.
