Excellent with many foods --particularly like this 'easy drinker' with lamb and salmon.

While we are generally well furnished with Willamette Valley wines through various connections, this Wine Access offer seemed intriguing and it was the 2012 vintage which by all accounts is a good one. Dark purple red and quite densely extracted. The nose was a bit unresolved with lots of jammy, spicy qualities that I would more closely associate with hotter wines from CA. It isn't in the Burgundian zone that we crave. Very youthful yet is part of it: a lot of tart fruit, a lot of earthy spicy components, moderate tannins. Revisit in a couple of years.
