Dark ruby with violet highlights. Black cherry, woodsmoke and herbal spices with a hint of vanillin oak on the nose. The nervous blackberry fruit and slightly austere tannins both have a slightly roasted character that is underscored by the wine's natural acidity. Although appearing slightly overextracted at present, this wine should age extremely well.
