About Domaine Jean-Marc & Hugues Pavelot
Jean-Marc Pavelot, now joined by his son Hughes, maintains what is arguably the top estate in the underappreciated village of Savigny-lès-Beaune...
88-90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - January/February 2014
Good dark red. Aromas of black fruits, mocha, smoked meat and licorice, along with a slightly rustic leathery nuance. Juicy, sweet and penetrating, with very good cut and violet lift to the expressive flavors of black cherry, stone, leather and bitter chocolate. No shortage of stuffing here. Nicely fresh Beaune wine with fairly sweet, easygoing tannins and good lift.
