(15.1% alcohol):  Bright medium red.  Inexpressive nose hints at cherry, licorice and pepper.  Supple but youthfully sullen, showing subtle sweetness but limited primary fruit.  Not at all heavy, but I find this wine curiously flat and lacking in aromatic interest.  The lightly saline finish features dusty tannins.  I tasted two similar bottles.
