Greenish gold.  Aromas and flavors of poached pear, passion fruit and honey, with citrus zest and chamomile accents.  Broad, fleshy and deeply concentrated, with subtle anise and marzipan nuances building in the glass.  Maintains energy despite its distinct richness and finishes with strong mineral lift and smoky persistence.  I find this wine quite lively considering its heft but I suspect that those with die-hard Old World palates will find it to be too extroverted.
