89(+?)? Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2014
Bright, medium ruby-red. Slightly medicinal aromas of cassis, blueberry, licorice, mocha and bitter chocolate. More clenched than the Neyers Ranch cabernet, with a touch of peppery acidity restraining the wine's sweetness. This will need some time in bottle but does not appear to possess the ripeness of the 2010 bottling. Slightly herbal throughout, with the serious tannins revealing a slight greenness.
