More About This Wine
When Andrea Costanti took over the family business from his Uncle Emilio in 1983, he had big shoes to fill—the Costantis have been one of the premier wine families in Montalcino since the 1500s. Costanti proved more than up to the challenge, however, and today, produces complex, aromatic Brunellos, plus the Super Tuscan Vermiglio.

Deep, bright red color. Aromas of plum, redcurrant and kirsch are complicated by soy sauce and flowers. Silky and rather minerally, showing a restrained sweetness and considerable finesse to its moderately ripe middle palate. Finishes with fine-grained tannins and lingering notes of red cherry, minerals, dried flowers and gunflint. A lovely '09.
