Cherry, marzipan and lemon zest aromas. This has a sweet marzipan entry and imposing thickness, but there is more overt citricity and more sheer lift than with the previous wines. Candied lemon, almond, passion fruit, brown spices and distinct slate in the finish.

German vintners and Germany's wine law have often been their own worst enemies, and consumers understandably bemoan the unintelligibility of the labels as well as the mediocre quality of so many commercial-grade wines.
