1996 Pieve Santa Restituta(Gaja) Brunello di Montalcino Rennina

Pieve Santa Restituta is yet another demonstration of Piedmont legend Angelo Gaja's new focus on Tuscan winemaking. The estate's wines have the telltale fine tannins and glossy texture of all of Gaja's wines, in addition to the firm grip of Brunello. Unsurprisingly, they've surged to the upper echelons of the region since the latter half on the 1990s, after Gaja entered into a partnership with Roberto Bellini, the previous owner, in 1994. Since 2004, Gaja has been in full control here.
