Expert Reviews
Medium-deep red. High-pitched aromas of roasted cherry, mocha, gunmetal, Cuban cigar tobacco, animal fur and oak spice; showed an explosive raspberry scent with aeration. Pure, thick and utterly suave, with very concentrated, delineated flavors of extraordinary sweetness and depth. The lush tannins are currently buried in fruit, but this highly aromatic, multidimensional Brunello has solid underlying structure. A knockout.
Medium-full ruby. Quite ripe, roasted cherry-marron aromas , with a touch of vanilla; stylish and focused. Full body. Very little earthiness on the palate. Shows superb balance of extract , acidity and ripe tannins, with an elegant sense of restraint. Clearly deeper than the 1993, and in need of at least eight years to reach maturity. ***
