Saturated garnet, with purple hues. Intense aromas of powdered cocoa, cinnamon and spicy cedar are followed by a sweet, wonderfully delineated entry of licorice, plum jam, roasted coffee and tar. This is just fantastic. Had it over the Holidays with an Italian dinner. No edges just smooth corners. Nice fruit, acidity, tannin. It's hard to believe this will age for 15 more years. I'm not waiting!
