1998 Conn Creek Winery Anthology Napa Valley

Enticingly sweet scents of cream, coffee and ripe black cherries make for as fine introduction to this relatively juicy young wine, and its well-fruited, oak-buttressed flavors do not disappoint. It is fairly rich in feel with a good impression of fruity flesh, and, while it dries a touch at the finish, it lingers nicely and does not dissolve into the heat and coarseness that plague so many of its cousins from the vintage.
