About Pride Mountain Vineyards
Nestled above the Spring Mountain fog, on the Napa-Sonoma county line, Pride Mountain Vineyard sits on a former 340-acre agricultural Summit Ranch. In 1989, when Jim and Carolyn Pride purchased the spread they planned on growing grapes to sell, but soon caught the bug and built a winery.
1996 Pride Mountain Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Producer: Pride Mountain Vineyards
Style: Red Wine
Grape Type: Cabernet Sauvignon
Origin: California
Region: Napa
90 Points | International Wine Cellar , May/June 1999
Saturated ruby. Subtle, perfumed, slightly high-toned aromas of cassis and redcurrant; ripe and highly aromatic. Big, lush and dense, with superripe flavors of plum and graphite. Plenty of underlying structure. The tannins here are riper than those of the franc, and the finish is long and smooth.
