Bright ruby-red. Subdued, fruit-driven aromas of cassis, violet and shoe polish; distinctly cooler and more classic than the '96. Soft and juicy, with ripe acids and tannins. A bit closed in the middle at this early stage of its development. Still, I don't yet find quite the flavor development of the '96 Napa bottling.

The Best Cab in Bosnia

The first time I tried the 97 R.M. Cab was while I was looking fo a decent wine in Bosnia.. It's a hearty, full bodied wine with a long fruity flavor and berry flavors which finish well. A slightly high tannin level which will mellow with age, if you can bare to not drink them up now.

Full bodied, plum flavors, with rich berry fruit. Yet very accessable to drink right now. Perfect with a standing rib roast.

Very easy to drink. Medium bodied with rich berry and cellar in flavors. The tannins is mild and detailed after taste. Good value!

Thankfully I did not pay for this. Sweet, simple, one-dimensional wine with no balance or backbone. It's obviously not my taste, but how can one justify $30 for this ????
