1998 Best's Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Grampians/Great Western

Full red with a purple edge. Piercing aromas of blackcurrant and peppermint, backed by cedary, vanillin and lightly toasty oak. Long and linear, with an uncomplicated but generous expression of dark berry fruit, supported by firm tannins. Permeated throughout by mint and hints of eucalyptus. A typical Great Western cabernet from a good year: fine-grained, elegant, taut and potentially long-lived.
