1997 Colgin Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Herb Lamb Vineyard Napa Valley
Producer: Colgin Cellars
Style: Red Wine
Grape Type: Cabernet Sauvignon
Origin: California
Region: Napa
94 Points | International Wine Cellar , May/June 2000
(450 cases produced): Deep black ruby. Crystallized black cherry, black raspberry, blackberry, boysenberry, bitter chocolate, shoe polish and sexy oak tones on the perfumed, slightly floral nose. Supple entry, then quite unforthcoming in the middle palate. But already displays uncanny texture and depth, as well as extraordinary ripeness which somewhat mitigates this wine's normal impression of austerity. Distinctly Latour-like. Finishes with strong, tongue-dusting tannins and great persistence. A superb vintage for this boutique cabernet. 94(+?).
