Ripe and intense, with a tightly wound core of earthy currant, herb, tobacco and spice. Finished with good balance and finesse.

Just a little too much barnyard (aka brett, more formally brettanomyces) for this city boy. The guests said "this wine tastes weird". I don't know if all the barrells were similarly balanced. Otherwise typical of the more heavily-concentrated Chateauneuf style.
