Bright ruby-red, darker than the Gigondas. Riper, more liqueur-like nose complicated by a peppery nuance. Very ripe and fat in the mouth but tightly wrapped and less showy today than the Gigondas. Best today on the tangy finish, which offers an unusual combination of sheer ripeness and grip.

This midium body ruby gem hides the taste of grass, earth, and mint chocolate. It reminds me a smaller version of La Turque. A beauty that needs your patience to let it sit on the table for an hour or two, then it will show its aroma and "terroir." Good value wine. (90-91)
