Deep red-ruby. Explosive, oakier aromas of black cherry, smoke, espresso and licorice; smells like barrels with a heavier toast. Great sweetness in the mouth; dense, silky, oaky and large-scaled. Seems more heavily extracted than the wines vinified in Meo cellar. Finishes with tougher (oak) tannins. Still, a strong showing for this wine, reportedly made from yields under 30 hectoliters per hectare.
