Floral and peach aromas. Concentrated and thick but juicy, thanks to a brisk lemony quality. A bit inexpressive in the mouth today, but long on the aftertaste. The '98 vintage for Condrieu was generous in aromas and ripeness, says Philippe Guigal, but low in acidity and high in pH. Here the body of the wine takes the place of the missing acidity, he added.
