More About This Wine
About Laurel Glen Vineyard
The precious 3-acre parcel that gave birth to Laurel Glen Vineyard was first planted by German immigrants back in 1880. But it was Patrick Campbell who rediscovered the plot in 1974 and set to work expanding the vineyard to its current size of 16 acres.
1998 Laurel Glen Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Counterpoint Sonoma Mountain
Producer: Laurel Glen Vineyard
Style: Red Wine
Grape Type: Cabernet Sauvignon
Origin: California
Region: Sonoma
Points | International Wine Cellar , May/June 2000
Ruby-red. Vibrant aromas of cassis, black cherry, mocha, dark chocolate and sweet oak. Lush, sweet and round, with deep flavors of black cherry and black raspberry. Textured and generous. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins that are not quite as thoroughly buffered by extract as those of the grand vin.
