NV G.H. Mumm Cremant de Cramant

Pale yellow with a steady bead. Candied pear and apple on the nose, with a subtle tangerine quality gaining strength with air. Fleshy and smooth, offering deep soft citrus and honeydew flavors and a bracing note of lime zest on the back. Blends energy with depth smoothly, finishing with an echo of lime.

Pale color. Discreet aromas of apple, lemon zest, minerals and powdered stone. Bright and dry yet creamy in the mouth, with chalk and butter notes and firm mineral spine. Understated, stylish blanc de blancs, with a firm, persistent finish. Also tasted: NV Cordon Rouge Brut, NV Carte Classique Extra Dry, NV Brut Rose.

Green-tinged yellow. Spicy pear, peach and yellow plum aromas are complemented by notes of spicecake and honey. Round and fleshy on the palate, offering gently sweet pit fruit flavors and gentle acidity for lift. Very smooth and nicely concentrated but a touch sweet on the finish. I'd serve this with spicy or salty foods. This is richer than last year's release.
