91 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - January/February 1999
Impressively deep ruby. Sappier but less expressive aromas of blackberry and violet. A blockbuster of a Dolcetto, with huge primary berry fruit and mouthfilling texture. Sweeter than Chionetti's San Luigi Dolcetto '97, but has good supporting acidity. Finishes with a wave of palate-dusting tannins. This is reportedly higher than the 14% printed on the label.
