Superripe, explosive aromas of honeysuckle, lichee, licorice and passionfruit; shows an urgent fresh grape character. Big, sweet and plump, with bright acidity giving shape to the flavors. Finishes with lovely fruit and noteworthy length. More complete than the '97, and perhaps more suited for development in bottle. A lovely balance of 13.5% alcohol and 35 g/l r.s.
