Saturated ruby-red. Rather cool, primary aromas of red cherry, currant, tobacco, leather and coffee. Strong on the attack, then supple and fairly dense in the middle palate. Rather stylish for a wine from this producer. Finishes with notes of pepper and spice. Ferraton bottled this wine quickly so that the fruit wouldn't dry out. Bottle aging should bring more complexity.
