96 Points | International Wine Cellar , March/April 1998

Deep, multidimensional nose combines pineapple, honey, truffle, coconut, earth and resiny oak. Thick and powerful; an intense spiciness and superb acidity provide great thrust. Fabulous extract gives the wine an uncanny tactile quality. Expanding peacock tail of a finish. The best vintage for this wine in several years, from a yield of around 18 hectoliters per hectare.
