Opened 7 magnums, good consistency through all bottles. Dark garnet with ruby red rim. Very lean and closed when first opened, showing a streak of racy raspberry fruit, toast and minerals. After 15 minutes in the decanter. The wine smelled of plums, wet earth, cedar and toast and oolong tea. Medium bodied approaching a creaminess on the palate after 30 minutes. Good structure to last, long finish. The wine kept gaining in complexity 2 hours later
