Expert Reviews

86-88 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - July/August 1998

Pale yellow-gold color. Sweet peach, apricot syrup and oak char on the nose. Bright, intensely flavored and spicy in the mouth; not especially viscous or sweet but offers an intriguingly tactile texture and enticing finishing notes of toast and vanilla. Shows little of the herbal character that, for this taster at least, has limited the appeal of some older vintages of this wine, but I'd like to have seen more evidence of botrytis.
