40-Year-Old Tawny Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - March/April 1998

Bright aromas of cherry, minerals, dark chocolate, resin and apple, plus an intriguing citric note. Thick, very intensely flavored and quite sweet; a velvety, tactile wine that expands in the mouth and stains the palate. The Calvados-like apple note repeats on the finish, which features terrific thrust.

Well Done

Last year (2000) I paid $113.99 (plus tax) for a bottle of the most wonderful Port I've yes to taste. A subpremely wooden, yet delicate experience. Do not "save" this... drink it now....
