We finished a dinner party with this. A terrific hit with everyone. The age helped the smoothness, and the mouthfeel appeal to everyone. What a desert wine!
Initial impression 94 WVP

The cork was dried out causing it to fall apart during removal into the bottle and therefore needed to be filtered to pour. I was concerned air might have entered and spoiled the wine but it hadn't.Though the wine was dark ruby it was clouded with fine leas that stuck to the sides of the glass. The taste was of old leather and honey the latter having been mulled by time. Perhaps an egg white fining and racking would improve the poor initial impression without affecting the taste too much, it seems a lot of work for a small quantity of wine.
