A Port Wine for you & your children to enjoy
01/17/2011

Serve at the correct temperture & it's great! Wait patiently for 10 years & it will be Fabulous! Now: A Closed nose & taste of Mulberries, blackberries, dark plums & dark fruits I can't yet discern as this wonderful decadent wine develops & a rich long lingering after taste. Decant at Least the required 6 hrs. in a wide base dacanter, and allow 24 hours if time allows. However, the alcohol tends to overshadow the taste after 6-8 hours or so on a typical port. So taste test or decant several bottles at different times. It is only now beginning it's shine which will be brilliant for your children, (or you, if you live that long & have well stored bottles). Can develope for 10- 50 more yrs & more for perfection. Great until 2075 - my guess. If you must serve now: 1. Buy many bottles, the market is very low. 2. (After laying down for a month), if just purchased, or if in cellar, turn upright several days before decanting. 3. Carefully Remove it from your celler the night before serving or the morning prior and stand it up. 4. Decant Properly. For instructions on decanting email Bill1620@yahoo.com 5. Always hold and decant label up, if you store port in that manner. 6. Decanting in a wide bottom decanter. 6-8 hours. 7. Double decant back into the bottle 8. Warm bottle until about 75 degrees F. 9. Pour from th bottle a decanter. 10. Serve with Blue cheese or prunes stuffed with walnuts and a little mayo or blue cheese. At 75 degrees decanted served with Blue cheese, it is a kiss from God. When a wine is tanic as this, the cold tannins destroy the taste, warm it up! -- Quote me --Bg In the future 77 Taylor will become the new standard of wine gold! Bg 1-16-11

I drank this bottle naked in bed with my girlfriend and told her I wanted her to be the mother of my children. With some blue cheese, there is nothing better.

About Portugal

For most American wine lovers Portuguese wine means Port, the rich fortified Portugal wine made in the hot, dry Douro Valley in the northern part of the country. But the past decade has witnessed a greater flow of high-quality table wines, mostly red, into the U.S. market.
