Orange-copper color, pale at the rim. Musky, oily nose combines raspberry and forest floor scents; smells like aged pinot. Brisk and penetrating on entry, with flavors of strawberry confiture and earth; could use a bit more verve. Narrows slightly on the back half. Drink soon. (Paterno Imports, Lake Bluff, IL)
