About Livermore
The Livermore Valley lies southeast of San Francisco in its own enclosed pocket. This once-famous region was settled in the 1880s and is roughly 15 miles long and 10 miles across. Now, a mere 1,600 vineyard acres remain in this warm-weather viticultural area.

Livermore is mostly planted to Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, which fare best in the valley's rocky soil.
