Top Rated Albarinos

A wine list by Josh Raynolds, Wine Writer, IWC
Albarino is a white grape variety produced in Galicia, in Northwest Spain, and also in Portugal. Quickly gaining popularity in the United States, these vibrant wines are prized for their refreshing personality, vibrant minerality and versatility at the table. In rare instances will you want to hold onto these wines for more than a year after the vintage as the energy of the vast majority of them diminishes with bottle age, and it is that vivacity that distinguishes the best albarinos.
