The new offerings from Tablas Creek are not to be missed. As a group they are the best wines that havebeen produced from this joint venture to date. The highlights to me were an aromatic, Vermentino, the Espirit de Beaucastel and Esprit de Beaucastel Blanc and a knockout Mourvedre that ought to start a rush to plant more of this difficult grape in the Paso Robles area.

2006 Tablas Creek Vineyard Roussanne Paso Robles
The best vintage of this wine i have tasted from Tablas Creek. For once the alcohol doesn't overpower the fruit. This is a rich, full flavored wine that manages to balance its richness with firm acidity.
2006 Tablas Creek Vineyard Esprit de Beaucastel Blanc Paso Robles
You would be hard pressed to pick this vintage out from a lineup of the best white Rhones from the Southern Rhone. It is that good. The absense of Viognier from the blend and the addition of Picpoul Blanc makes a huge difference in the finished wine.
