2004 Taltarni Cabernet Sauvignon Pyrenees

Tasting Date: 08/27/2008; Location: At the office.
The French influence shows in the Pyrenees Victoria Cabernet where red berry flavors are, mixed with herb and spice elements resulting in a very Bordeaux-like wine, (Ducru comes to mind). Elegant, supple and delicious now, it will cellar well for another decade.

2005 Taltarni Heathcote Shiraz Heathcote

The Heathcote vineyard is relatively new for Australia, planted in 1997. A Northern Rhone style Shiraz with beautiful black fruit and very supple,silky tannins. An elegant well balanced Shiraz.

A blend of 70% Shiraz and 30% Cabernet. Nice nose. Well balanced and trademark silky tannins make this a wine to enjoy now.
