Equipo Navazos: A Passion for Sherry
La bota de… series of sherries:
These sherries all carry the bottling date on the front label. Quality is extremely high and stars make it difficult to express their differences, as they’d all be 5 stars in my book, given their complexity, intensity and balance.

La Bota de Amontillado NPI
A single cask forgotten in a bodega in Sanlúcar that was already very old in the 1960s. In fact, nobody really knows what it is. But it is the most amazing amontillado that has ever crossed my lips. As dry as a young Trimbach riesling.

La Bota de Amontillado Navazos
Two different sacas have been made, numbers 1 and 9, but the first one was only 600 bottles and not for sale. Amber in color, with a nose full of hazelnut and almond, a whiff of varnish, and a salty aftertaste.

La Bota de Fino Macharnudo Alto
Three different bottlings so far. Darker than the fino norm, as it’s about ten years old and unfiltered. This is a single-vineyard sherry, from pago (vineyard) Macharnudo, with nutty notes, esparto grass, a full mouth with penetrating and very long flavors. Ideal with pata negra ham.

Bottled twice, with numbers 4 and 8. Iodine, nori seaweed and sea breeze in a bottle. Notes of green olive and almond.
