2014 Orin Swift Papillon Red Wine
Deep, dark purple with garnet hues. Infused with luscious blackberry aromas, mocha, and hints of dried rosemary. Rich and opulent, packed with lush black cherry and chocolate covered blackberry fruit. Powerful and full-bodied, revealing layers of crème-de-cassis, sandalwood, and vanilla-dusted almonds. At 15.1% alcohol, the wine is beautifully balanced by supple, fine-grained woody tannins and plenty of mouthwatering acidity. A long 30-45 second finish features a mix of red and black fruits, minerality and violet notes. A serious crowd-pleaser today and will offer plenty of rewards over the next decade.

The 2014 Bordeaux Proprietary Blend Papillion (15,748 cases) was aged 16 months in 40% new French oak. Fairly priced for what the consumer gets, this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc (15.1% alcohol) exhibits notes of forest floor, graphite, blackcurrant, blackberry fruit and spring flowers followed by a full-bodied, unctuously textured, deep, rich pure wine to drink over the next 10-15+ years.
