Building on 2,500 Years of History
We have long had a special love and reverence for E. Guigal—especially for their "La La" Côte-Rôties, which represent the pinnacle of winegrowing and winemaking.
These iconic small-production, single-vineyard wines have earned 30 perfect scores from Wine Advocate—as many as Petrus, Lafite-Rothschild, Haut-Brion, and Mouton-Rothschild combined. They’re bottles that go beyond gilding a collection: They provide a transcendent and moving experience.
The only one of the "La Las" grown on Côte-Rôtie’s Côte Blonde, La Mouline hails from a vineyard planted by the Romans 2,500 years ago. The inaugural bottling ignited a quality revolution in the Rhône in the 1960s, and the 2018 carries that tradition with pride. It earned 98-100 points from Wine Advocate, whose critic called it “immensely seductive” and “the most complete, compelling vintage of La Mouline I've tasted.”
