I actually did not have any Reidel port glasses so I quickly purchased them and finally after a night of shoveling out the driveway, opened my first bottle. What a beautiful end to a day. Extremely sweet but a deep dark cherry flavor that stays to the bottom of the glass. Buy it.
DEEP BLACK PURPLE COLOR. INTENSE BLACK RASPBERRY, BLACKBERRY, CHOCOLATE, ALMOST MEDICINAL NOSE. SHOWING ANISE, BLACK RASPBERRY, BLACKBERRY AND SPICE ON THE PALATE. INTENSE, BEAUTIFULLY SEAMLESS, BUT WHAT BRINGS THE WINE CLOSE TO PERFECTION IS THE PERFECT BALANCE OF OAK, FRUITS, ACID, AND TANNINS. A VELVETY BEAUTY THAT WILL IMPROVE FOR TWENTY TOO TWENTY FIVE YEARS.
very nice port to finish a meal. alittle hot at first but calms down. was an excellent value
I finally opened the the Warre 2000. It has a nice aroma and nicely balanced port flavors. There's nothing wrong with this wine but I had sort of expected to be bowled over and I wasn't. I'll try again in 2012.
I grabbed 4 bottles. Gave one as a gift, opened one, and put two away. Surprisingly well balanced at this point. A little too smooth but wonderfully silky and satisfying. Looking forward to it's progress over the next 5 to 10 years.
quite good for the price.
I have tried a bunch of different ports at this price. Warre's is by far the best I have tasted. I would describe it as full bodied. It doesn't leave you wanting for more flavor. Family members wanted a bottle as a present. Just try a cheaper port first and you'll see what I mean.
Excellent port but still very young. Will age very nicely
Much too early to tap into this one but I know the brand and the style. Check with me in 15 years.
