Nice smooth and fruity. No aftertaste. Dark color. Compares to J Lohr. Will definitely buy again. Love it!
This is very well balanced and easy drinking wine. This goes well with or without food. Low acid but zippy and fresh. Pleasant nose, medium finish. Drink now, not for aging.
The secret here is "Sonoma County". We had this new store move to town called "Total Wine". Turns out the lady who moved into the house next to mine works there. I was touring their GRAND OPENING and heard this cheery "Hi Neighbor" from behind me. I told her I liked rich full bodied reds and especially those from Sonoma county. She agreed that there are no bad wines from Sonoma county - and - she's RIGHT! This is a real soft, smooth, rich, smoky, oaky red that really swishes smoothly and lingers tartly with a sweet/sour afterglow. There's almost a slight corn husk or sour green grape or rhubarb after taste that disappears very quickly drifting into a rich chocolaty plumb flavor. I will definitely be buying more of this one. (Good choice Jessica.)
Dark ruby color, cherries on the noise, cherries on the palate. Soft tannin and long finish. Very enjoyable cabernet for drinking with or without food.
any varietalsproduced by Angeline vineyards is a good value and worthy of your esteem. Cab/Pinot/ Chard are my favorites.
Full bodied with soft tannins and good fruit flavors with a dark ruby clor. Excelent Cab for drinking with or without food.
This 2001 is an easy to drink cab for those that might not like the stereotypical big wines. Tannins are soft and there is ample dark fruit on the palate, with a moderate amount of oak. It finishes smooth with a hint of spice. A good value at $10. Drink now. Same rating and comments for the 2004 although this vintage is a tad bigger. I think my bottle of 2006 was bad. I'll try again.
medium body cab and nice for the price. tasted hints of cherry and vanilla on the (long) finish.
2/04 00 vintage. $9.00. Mod intense fruity nose, good body, a bit soft, but very pleasant, NOT Beaujolais like. Pretty good for an inexpensive 00 cab. If you're put off by heavy tannins, you'll like this one. Drink now. Not for aging.
Start with ruby color and an intense bouquet that matures quickly into an inviting and full nose. In your mouth, it starts big, but quickly mellows into flavors of currant and blackberry. A hint of oak, ripe tannins, low acidity make this wine a nice addition to herbed dishes such as game, grouper, lamb, or a steak grilled over wood. Garlic potatoes, and heavily seasoned summer vegitables make this wine a favorite for under $10.
I bought a bottle to try as Total Wines was promoting Angeline wines in many of its brochures. The cab is fruity, simple, and good for easy drinking. The wine has berry bouquet, fruity flavor, and uncomplicated taste.
herb, green olive, black cherry notes - easy drinking
taste like a cheaper merlot. Ok and easy to drink but not very interesting. At this price a Sebastiani, J Loher or Rodney Strong are much better values. Safe to drink as an everyday table wine but nothing to rave about...
