Tremendous smoothness for a Zin - didn't require much aeration. Absolutely pleasant from the first sip. Highly recommmend this wine/vintage!
medium-bodied and full of flavor. Beautiful ripe bouquet with a rich cherry and blackberry profile, supported by a hint of peppery spiciness. Great alone or with food.
We've had this 3times at Ryan's Steak House in W-S on our anniversary! Lovely bouquet that lasts throughout and a tasty berry - peppery flavor.
Wow, what a bargain. If you like a medium-bodied, fruity Zin, the "Sonoma County" 2005 vintage is a real value for the money. Thoroughly enjoyable.
The Seghesio family has making Zins down pat. They consistently produce this Sonoma County Zin in a style that is true to the fruit. Enjoyable by itself or with food.
One Zin that goes the distance. Full, Fruity, Dry yet a touch of smoothness. Great upon opening right out of the gate. A pleasnt yet complex full bodied wine with great color. For Zin lovers, they just don't make them at this price any better.
Great wine, good presentation, very smooth, very pleasing finish. We enjoyed it at our favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach. I will definitely be buying this to my own stock.
Medium bodied wine with smooth finish and easy to drink.
The 03' is a very elegant and classy zin. Has layers of complexity without being overdone.
Simply a Great wine!
I think the 2003 is better than the 2004... but if you like zinfandel you'll love this. The Seghesio family knows what they're doing -- lots of body, flavors and a nice finish. Will buy more.
For folks that really like a red zin you can't find a better deal. This is a good one.
We visited the Seghesio Family Vineyards 3 years ago and have been huge fans ever since. It's easy to drink and has a wonderful finish. I believe it's the best valued Zin in it's price range.
This is definitely a great value. Very fruity, lots of berries and plum, medium body, good finish. Great with steak.
A consistent winner! For the price, there are very few that compare. Black cherry and spice aromas; blackberry jam and licorice flavors, this wine will only get better with age.
Had a bottle of the 07 @ Bourbon Steak. Excellent when paired with filet. Excellent wine for the price. Not quite the calibur of the Ridge or Turley Zins, but great value Zin. Sure to please all.
This is a really great wine, in my opinion. Lots of ripe fruit, complexity, smooth, full flavored, fragrant, deep color, not too sweet, not too dry, all around wonderful to drink with food or without.
This ZIN has deep fruit of blackberry, boysenberry + light licorice the zin is very balance that the key to the zin.Red wine tasting sheet score= 92.1 This was the 2008 sonoma zinfandel Seghesio.
This is Zinfandel-strong, sweet, powerful, heady! I like this wine alot and liked it much better when it was 12.99 just shy of 2 years ago. After the WS gave them kudos, seghesio Zins have gone up in price. Just tried the 2003 and it is excellent-kudos.
I was never a big fan of Zins until I tried this - I see the light (or did I taste it?)!
well rated by Wine Spectator, too
fairly fruity, not too dry, but rather bland
Berry-colored, a nose-full of young ripe fruit notes with an initial bang of peppery oak and cherry on the palate. Then a somewhat disappointing too-fast finish and it's done. WS gave the 2005 a score of 90.
not worth 18$, had this right after sobon fidletown zin for $14 that was much better, so is cline. Hence, don't buy this one again
2001 Vintage: Completed overdone and over oaked with lots of cloying vanilla notes.
