Good heavens....a wonderful value for the price.
This 2003 St.Estephe is very deep rich taste. The wine has a harmonious balance to it,nice caressing long finish to.Decant for 2 to 3 hours.
a perfect Saint Estephe...it is always a surprise to find a French wine of this 'young' vintage that is 'drinkable' and balanced without without decanting...AND a good value
strong aroma and flavor of currants, full-bodied, strong tannins, long finish, velvey texture. This was a very enjoyable wine, but it would probably be even better after a few years of softening. My wife didn't like it as much due to the strong tannins.
Rave reviews at our anniversary party..impressive to your average wine drinker. Best if aired out a bit but you and your guests will not be disappointed.
I'm not a huge fan of French wines but this was really good and I will buy more. -T.J.
very good, almost a 5*
THIS IS A VERY GOOD REPRESENTATION OF A LEFT BANK WINE FROM A GOOD VINTAGE...LOCATION OF THIS CHATEAU AND IT'S PRICE MAKES THIS ST.ESTEPHE A GREAT VALUE.I WOULD RECOMMEND INCLUDING AT LEAST A DOZEN BOTTLES OF THE 2005 VINTAGE IN YOUR CELLAR.I ENJOYED IT WITH GRILLED MEATS AND VEGGY WITH LOTS OF SPICES.IT IS A 91/100 FROM ME.
This could become our house wine! Great french Bordeaux---great value for the price....loved it!
This is wonderful steak wine at a very very I mean very reasonable price... You will get best out of this wine by having it with steak !!! You can usually get this wine at little over $20. But The Total Wine store sell it at $40... Not right. Bring the price down so many people can enjoy this wine which makes so much sense...
too earthy, very little improvement with 2 hours of breathing
I found this wine to be very earthy with a lot of sediment. Bitter as well. I think this bottle might have gone bad, but if it didn't.....
