Fantastic Petite Sirah for the price

I have had multiple vintages of this wine. It is consistant with the region from where the grape come. It offers big briary forward fruit, as what one might expect from Petite Sirah. It is a Joy to drink by itself, or with Italian food, Steak, just about any full flavored food. the wine is dark and inky in color. It breathes in scents of dark spice, anice, and lavendar. It fills the mouth with wild berries, fresh cut wood, and eucalytus. I love everything about it.

Very good flavor

Very good flavors...fruit turns into pepper. Tannins are just a little overwhelming, but still very enjoyable.

2004 - Skip This One

Blunt, stale licorice, brutal Old World style swill. Marietta isn't the most sophisticated winery going, but this one really misses the mark. Petite Sirah is a difficult varietal in the first place. However Concannon and others manage to make at least a drinkable wine. Skip this one.
