2006 - very nice semi dry red. A real crowd pleaser!
I've had Cabernet before but found it to be too heavy and rather sour. This was a good surprise. It has very good taste, just right with food. I will be adding it to my collection of everyday good wine.
Only red wine I've ever had that did not give me a headache. A wine store recommended it for a dinner party that I had - I loved the wine and so did all our guests.
Good flavor. Always looking for a good full bodied wine that I will buy again and this one definitely fills the bill.
Good flavor, full bodied yet smooth finish.
2008 -- Like many of the other reviewers, I was surprised by the quality of this $10 cab. It's fairly light-bodied for a cab. It has the usual dark fruits like currant, but I found vanilla to predominate. I'd never experienced that in a cab before and was pleasantly surprised. Like other cabs, it has a hint of licorice. Very pleasant tannins.
Just realy started drinking wines. I tried this one at a friends house and loved it.
Drank on 6-12 7 of 10 stars
nice finish. will taste great with dark chocolate. have with a red meat dinner.
Was not expecting this to be a 4 star wine, but, to my surprise I was delighted. Rich, full bodied. Sign me up Doctor, we've found a new one.
This cab was a great value. Very smooth and soft with plenty of character. Very nice finish. For the money, it's hard to beat this one. Great with food and all by itself. A real winner...a new addition to the list of favorites.
Very smooth cab for the price. A very good daily drinker.
I decided to try this wine after reading all of the favorable reviews and I'm glad I did! Excellent value - a very tasty and smooth wine (and paired well with the ribeye to boot)!
Agreed. This is a great one to have for everyday drinking. A good wine at a very reasonable price.
This wine was recommended to me by a staff member at TW so I tried a bottle and was pleasantly surprised. Fruity and sweet when first uncorked, then when allowed to breath this wine opens nicely. I have bought again and would recommend but I liked it much more before the last price increase. ;-)
Usually avoid Cabernet because always thought they were too heavy. Not anymore.
From a non-expert perspective, I find this Cab very easy to drink - even unaccompanied by food (I find very powerful wines are drinkable with a meal - but no so much by themselves.)
Much beetter and a lot smoother than a lot fo cabs costong twice as much
This wine has a nice leg but a dull appearance. Aromas of smoke and Honeysuckle, Lime and Rose Hip. Tastes of earthy undertones that are accompanied by plumb and mellon. A medium/heavy body that is creamy in texture. The finish is nice at 5 seconds, but has a momment of sourness that fades at the end. A wine suited for Grilled and roasted meats. Not a wine for acidic fruits.
This 2006 was a decent wine for under $10. It has spicy, dark fruit and a hint of mint and licorice.
For the money, this tasty cab is a winner. Unconventionally soft and easy, yet delectable and self-assured. Lots of soft vanilla and cherry with a super smooth finish. This is a great go-to wine for any occasion.
I WAS TIRED OF THE CABS I WAS DRINKING WHICH WAS MAINLY RODNEY OR CLOS,SOMETIMES ST FRAN OR FRAN; I WAS ALSO TIRED OF THE REDUCTION IN SELECTION AT A MAJOR DISCOUNTER. I WAS DELIGHTED AT TOTAL WINE SELECTION, SERVICE AND PRICE. I WAS THERE TO ONLY BUY 90+ RATED WINES AND FOUND THIS THEIR #1 SELLER IS A GOOD TABLE WINE FOR LESS THAN 10 BUCKS.
This wine was recommended by a staff member; it started out great; nice taste, warm bodied but it didn't finish well. It left a almost "diet" taste in my mouth.
Not great, but not bad, a decent cab for the money.
Has a zippy taste-like it was carbonated. DID NOT LIKE.
