A rich, thick, velvety wine. The best white I have had in years. I just requested another case.
I put this wine in the cellar for my white wine drinking friends. On a very hot summer evening I opened a bottle for before dinner drinks. What a pleasant surprise to find a very light and crisp wine without the unpleasant white wine after taste.
Considering the price, the wine was a disappointment. Rather angular and lacking in fruit, especially for this vintage. I've had better wines from the Macon for half the price.
I have had many fine examples of PF thru the years, this is among the most disappointing....very light in color, even some spritz, ...thin on the taste, lacks body and finish; tasted twice after 2 weeks settling. For a chateau type bottling from a single grower of old vines, should be better
