We've gone through most of the case already. I just have one question. How is this wine so cheap? This Malbec, based on what my wife and I are tasting, is worth about $18 a bottle. We've given up on everything under $15 recently because those are all thin and simple. This is rich and deep – and ridiculously CHEAP. How do you do this? My wife wants more.
Wineaccess introduced us to Malbec this year. We like it better than Cab Sauv. One must let it aerate for four hours or more, however, to enjoy the fullness.
Let this wine breathe in bottle and your glass before sipping. A long lasting finish.
Love all his wines. Powerful wine.
As always wine Access has done it again! MMMM....Good!
Of the 50 some bottles I have acquired from wineaccess.com this is by far the best value. It is as good as other wines double and triple this price. I think it better, for example, than the Tikal Malbec that I paid more than twice the price for. Buy it by the case and serve as your house wine. You will not regret it.
Very nice for a decent price.. Would recommend
Had my first bottle last night and I was wowed by the color and taste!! It did get better as the night went on! Bought a second case on todays listing!!!
We love this Malbec. It is wonderful with steak or a big bowl of pasta. Deep, rich flavor at a wonderful price. Well done Wine Access!
A great well balanced deep ruby red malbec, would make a great house wine. This nice soft wine is dense and combines a fruity bouquet with a smooth finish. A fantastic value. I've purchased 3 or 4 different malbec's from this winery and haven't been disappointed.
Good but the 2008 was better!
A mouth watering red steak wine, but so versatile like a Merlot or good Syrah. This wine has improved each year. It has some fruit, some acid, nice tannin and a long pleasant finish. I would try this red wine with many foods and will be drinking it more regularly because it is such a good value for the Dollar
On opening, found wine to be a bit closed off although still quite drinkable. After decanting, it really opened up and was very enjoyable. Lots of black fruit with a hint of oak. After letting it breathe, this wine was open and smooth.
Our family enjoyed the Reserve with our Beef Wellington on Christmas. Intense complex flavor. Crisp on the sides of the tongue with an interesting and enjoyable mellow memory on the back. Tried a bottle of the Barrel Selection, which tasted more vibrant and concentrated. Also excellent. An interesting comparison. We decided to age it for a year or two to see what develops. We became fans of Malbec on a trip to Argentina and Patagonia three years ago and are pleased to find it becoming increasingly more available in the U.S. Before the Fabre Montmayou, Norton's Malbec has been our choice.
Very good malbec. should allow quite a bit of time for wine to open
Good bottle for the price, rich color and mouth-feel, though the finish is a little sharper than we expected. We found it interesting that the second glass was better than the first.
The review led me to expect more, but I can't say it's a bad Malbec, just nothing exceptional. I guess it's a $12.50 Malbec.
Great color and if you open and let it breathe for a short period the flavor really comes out. Excellent value for the price.
2007 was much better. Hope it will age better.
