This wine was the steal of the year. Please find me another case. Cab Francs are often difficult and often undrinkable. This little beauty is a refined mouthful. Classic, restrained, full of a correct cab franc that drinks so well now that it is hard to wait the few years for this wine to truly shine. Can't wait for more!
This wine was very good but fell short of what we would consider excellent. We opened a bottle about an hour before dinner and tried a glass. We then decanted the remainder of the bottle and it did improve.
Liked second bottle more .... separated by 9 months. Good Gamay .... maybe looking for a bit more heft, but it is a Chinon.
Smelled like a gamay upon opening - with airtime, raspberry & red fruits (and touch cedar with 2+ hours of airtime) on the nose. On palate, light body, medium acids - primarily red fruits (cherry / raspberry) leading to a short finish. Simple table wine - nothing more.
Reminds me of sour cherries
I followed your recommendation and tried a bottle and was very disapponted. Not anywhere near what I expected.
Pedestrian. Non-descript. Initial impression favorable but not well knit. Finish disappointing. Nothing above average.
Sour and acidic without the ripe cherry fruit noted by Wine Access. No depth.
