Chad Pinot Nois Carneros 2009

Excellent wine - the cherry notes were amazing and fresh!

Old World gets punched up with some New World flare - Surprising!

BIG red cherry nose is noticeable right from the pop. Built on the cherry is some high-flying cola with milk chocolate and tilled meadow, whiff of anise. Bright acidity in mouth is youthfully playful, runs right up to prominent, but does not overpower the red fruit. Smooth mouthfeel otherwise, mixed-skin cherry still carries the tune, but now with more anise and some bigger earthiness. Acidity mellows quickly at the finish, darker cherry meat from around the pit, and earthen, brown spice. The finish was a little too brief, but chalk that up to the young vintage. Very good now, but even better later; a steal of a Pinot! Paired this bottle with a game dish; it cut through the denser, fat-fringed meat nicely. 88

Patience I'm young....!

Awesome nose, tight upon opening as expected! After an hour and a half in the decanter the very forward fruit is such a treat but the beautiful lush finish is far more impressive. Well worth the wait and what a steal! Thanks for the heads up on this one wineaccess!

Great Pinot - wonderful introduction to pinot from Carneros. Hope to buy again.

value wine

This is a nice little Pinot It has a light to medium body good mouth feel and balance. It is very reasonably priced. I am happy with this offering

The Chad Pinot is delicious, Not a 94 rating in my opionin but, for the price a real bargain. When can I order some more at that price.....?

Chad pinot noir '09

Very enjoyable pinot. Has a strength of character that many pinots seem to lack.

Very Happy

Very Happy with the quality at this price

Excellent value

Quite delicious. Surprising considering the price. Definately recommend

a very nice wine, slightly more full bodied than most pinots, a very nice finish

The Chad is Good!

A solid Pinot for the price; very drinkable now.

Hal's opinion

A very pleasant Pinot Noir for the price.

Chad 09 Pinot

great value, deep and complex

Best Chad yet

Better than the Chad Chardonnay by far. Nice rich color, smooth and not that over sweet pinot one often gets from California. Glad I went for a case.

I am so enjoying the Chad pinot. It is such a smooth easy drinking wine. Just very relaxing and comfortable. I love it!

Fabulous Pinot!

This Pinot is everything that was promised - at an incredible price point. Would definitely buy more.

Great price for a great wine.

A bold full-bodied Pinot Noir with lasting flavors. This is a great wine for the price. This is my second case I bought at wineaccess. When I tried for a third case, I was disappointed but not surprised they were sold out.

Young but tasty w/great aroma.

Average Pinot that continues to improve.

Very tight upon opening. Starts to open in 1 hour - 2 hours better.

Good value

Decanted 30 mins. Has that cherry cola taste. May need to decant a little more to get the smell to come out a little more.

Good Wine and a Good Value

At $16.99, this was an excellent value. Classic California pinot flavors, well balanced, and smooth. Not overly complex, but all there

though not really expensive, this one lacked depth and seemed rather one dimensional. Other wines under $20 have been better.

Chad 2009 Pinot noir Carneros

Mid-bodied, soft, easy drinking. Average value for the money.

Good Value

Great value, needs patience, but all have enjoyed it. like to buy more.

Does not age well

This wine went down hill fast. Hope other vintages from this house age better?

Another disappointment.

This wine had little pinot distinction. Not a bad wine but definatel doesn't taste like a pinot noir.. It tasted more like a zin than the zin I opened after. With the negociant offerings like this, I know it will be hit and miss and this was a miss.

Not like the last Chad.

This Chad Pinot was over-hyped by WineAccess. A year or so ago, a Chad Pinot from the Santa Lucia highlands was outstanding. Based on that, Chad's name, and the WineAccess spin, this product was a disappointment.

overrating the product

Still young. Will try another in 3or 4 fyears
